"Im not some hardcore athlete. I just like being outside because it makes life feel bigger again. Whether it's a short hike or sitting on the tailgate. watching the sunset, it always hits. the. same way, calm, alive, grateful. it's my way of remembering that even on the hardest days, there's beauty all around if you just go find it.

"When I was a child, we would visit my grandmother in August, and she would take us up a mountain road to pick wild Huckleberries. Now, those tiny little berries have much more meaning to me than their delicious pop of flavor, they reconnect me to my roots. Sitting on a hillside, fingers stained bright purple, watching my own children eat more berries than they put in the bucket, I am grateful for the chance to reminisce back to simpler times. Those moments when we are outside, away from everyday chaos, keep me going."
